Without the tireless efforts of dozens of volunteers PlasmaBoy Racing would be a mere spark in my imagination. There is no order of importance listing intended. Thanks to everyone!
-
Aaron Choate for website assistance and technical support.
-
Website images and layout by Alaric Weigle
-
Mark Farver for plasmaboyracing.com hosting and his "infinite patience" technical support.
-
Chip Gribben for creating the Plasma Boy logo. Chip is a dedicated EVer who also happens to be a talented artist. Chip's work is also evident at the NEDRA web page, where virtually all the exciting and colorful images are his creations.
-
Otmar Ebenhoech for designing and creating the incredibly powerful Z2K Zilla controller. Thanks to his company (Cafe Electric) for their sponsorship support, thanks for his personal technical support, and most importantly, thanks for being a close friend all these years.
-
Tim Brehm for everything he does. In addition to being the current driver of White Zombie, Tim's an outstanding mechanic. Tim has done so much work and puts in so much time and effort on our projects, it's all but impossible to list everything. Let it suffice to say, his enthusiasm and dedication are instrumental to everything we do at Plasma Boy Racing.
-
Marko Mongillo for his expert metal fab work on all Plasma Boy EV projects, and for being a longtime close friend. Marko's attention to detail and fine craftsmanship are legendary. Every metal bracket, battery box, and other custom metal pieces in White Zombie, and most all of it in Blue Meanie as well as other EV projects, were made by Marko (with some help from Plasma Boy as well). His metalwork can be found in many of the top end EV conversions on the road today.
-
Dick Brown of AeroBatteries for securing sponsorship from Hawker batteries and for providing direct sponsorship from AeroBatteries as well. Without Dick's involvement, there would most likely, not have been any class SC/A new world records for White Zombie this past year.
-
Jim Husted of Hi Torque Electric for co-designing the Siamese 8 electric motor that powers White Zombie, and for building it so well it survived pretty much everything we threw at it. Jim also created the massive 'Yellow Beast' 13 inch DC motor that will power-up Purple Phaze, the next electric drag machine coming soon from Plasma Boy Racing. Simply put, Jim is an electric motor artisan who's skilled hands and keen mind make him the leader in DC motor rebuilding and custom design.
-
Rich Rudman who has been a close friend for many years. In addition to his company's (Manzanita Micro) sponsorship support, Rich has put in quite a few hours working with us in our racing efforts. A lot of my ideas are first bounced off Rich, and though I don't always take his advice, many times, I do :-)
-
Keith 'The Dutchman' Ebeling of Dutchman Motorsports. In addition to generous sponsorship from his company, Keith put in countless extra hours during the creation of the Siamese 8 project. Together with Jim Husted, Keith co-designed and did the actual machining of the complicated extra long stainless steel motor shaft. Along with many late night machine shop activities at his facility, Keith also made a few long distance trips to join up with us at Jim's Redmond, Oregon motor shop.
-
George Tylinski for loaning me his powerful Manzanita Micro PFC50 charger for use at the track to fast-charge White Zombie the past year. I own a PFC20 and also had a PFC30 for use with White Zombie, but sold it recently as I am on a waiting list for a new PFC75 monster. It's been great to have this extra charger to use. Thanks George, for the help.
-
Northwest Handling Systems for the use of the work service truck as our rolling workshop-charging van. My employer has been very supportive of our racing, and it is very much appreciated.
-
Inland Empire Drivelines for the sponsored, custom made aluminum driveshaft for White Zombie. This high quality light weight shaft saved us 10 lbs. of spinning weight, and the beefy unit has been very reliable, taking all 772 ft. lbs. of torque the Siamese 8 sends through it.
-
Chris Brune for designing, building, and sponsoring a DC-DC converter for White Zombie that can handle the wild voltage swings of the Zombie's 360V battery pack (170V low to 455V high). The converter makes up to 40 amps and is a welcome improvement that will keep the car's 12V system at a crisp 14.5V, Thanks, Chris for your support!
-
Roy LeMeur for his constant help. Whether wiring up last minute changes, preparing the trailer for hauling the car, driving the tow rig, or just giving support at the races, he's a seasoned EVer who's been a great friend. Roy is also a major force behind current NEDRA EVents. His huge efforts to keep EV racing in the spotlight is very much apprciated.
-
Dennis Pestka for providing that gorgeous orange 4/0 cable I use to make sure all the power from the batteries gets into the Zombie's motor. Dennis stepped up and shipped a bunch of this otherwise expensive cable to me for free. Thanks Dennis.
